Enzapros – Reg. No. C14/11.3/10 (Act 101 / 1965)
Included in various heifer & cow oestrus (LH peak) synchronisation protocols for timed artificial insemination to increase the proportion of preferred genetics and/ or to achieve a more compact calving season for targeted management, e.g.:
- In cycling heifers & cows: Two (2) injections 11 hours apart with AI at observed standing oestrus
- Oestrogen-free protocols like Ovsynch protocol (with or without P4) device for fixed-time AI
- Oestrogen-based P4 protocols for fixed-time AI: Enzapros is given at the onset (Zebu) and, at 24hrs prior to, or at P4 device removal.
Prostaglandins, like Enzapros®, cause luteolysis in luteal cysts.
Forms part of the treatment of endometritis (from 40 DIM), chronic metritis and pyometra in cows where a CL is present.
For the induction of abortion in cows before Day 100 of pregnancy: Abortion within 35 days in 90% of cases.
To induce parturition in cows after 270 days in gestation.
For use in parturition induction in sows – administered no earlier than 3 days prior to predicted farrowing date.
